The lead expedition vehicle, which bears the name of the expedition’s sponsor, Professor Winston Wong, has gone on display in the foyer of Imperial College London.
To coincide with the official launch of the expedition on 10 June, the unique vehicle has been given pride of place in the home of the expedition’s science partner. ‘It’s certainly creating a lot of interest’ says Dr Robin North, who is one of two researchers from Imperial College who will join the expedition team. Robin is also coordinating the College’s scientific and technical input to the expedition. His own research into emissions and bio-fuels performance is a key element of the monitoring which the expedition team will undertake.
