Two schools in Greenwich where pupils have been closely following the Expedition have sent special wishes. Pupils from Timbercroft and Notre Dame have been involved in the Expedition for some months. They visited Imperial College in September to find out what life would be like on the snow and ice and their ‘Antarctic champions’ have included all kinds of Antarctic work - from explorers to science - in this term’s work.
The Expedition team rang both schools as they completed the journey across the continent to the Ross Ice Shelf. Now the schools have sent the team a special message of support as they near the end of the Expedition and wished them an ‘uneventful’ final few miles.

This is something of a tradition at the club, with their lobby having a different car on show there every week.
