The Expedition’s science partner, Imperial College London, has celebrated the team’s arrival at the South Pole on its highly-regarded website. Journalists at the College interviewed Ray Thompson as he stood at the South Pole. Ray, who is leading the scientific work of the Expedition, works in the College’s Institute of Biomedical Engineering. Imperial’s website is the first port of call for thousands of Imperial alumni, working scientists and researchers and for science journalists from all over the world.

This is something of a tradition at the club, with their lobby having a different car on show there every week.
