A DAY AT THE SOUTH POLE
The team will spend Friday 3 December at the South Pole. They arrived on Thursday, tired from their long and arduous first leg from Union Glacier. They set out from Union Glacier a week ago and have had unusual weather, tortuous sastrugi and some mechanical challenges. They were exhausted, but exhilarated by the sight of the South Pole in the distance.
