The ultra-light Concept Ice Vehicle (CIV) will act as a pilot for the two heavier Science Support Vehicles. It is equipped with a special radar that can detect hidden crevasses, has a minimum of moving parts (which are liable to freeze up) and is light enough to be man-hauled across really rough terrain.
The CIV was commissioned by the Transantarctic Expedition founders Andrew Moon and Andrew Regan, and designed and engineered by Kieron Bradley at Lotus Engineering’s state of the art facilities in Norwich, England.
With its unique purpose built design and striking yet practical styling, it is little wonder the CIV has captured the hearts and minds of all those who have come across it.

Sit back, and review our online magazine showcasing the up and coming TransAntarctic Expedition.
With all the styling of a Bond car it is little wonder the CIV has drawn created such a buzz in the press.
